For generations Shorty's bar and Cafe was a local Winona landmark. Shortys was a dining and drinking establishment which had the unusual distinction of being frequented by both University students from WSU, just a block away, as well as by neighborhood residents and other "townies". Sadly, a few years ago this beloved local hangout was razed by fire. The burned out structure sat for years as a neighborhood eyesore.
Bluff City Properties has now recycled the building into luxury student housing. The building now features 19 Private Dorms Rooms - Each with its own PRIVATE FULL BATH and PRIVATE KICHENETTE. Each tenant will have their own reserved off street parking spot.
The building is located across from the Amtrak station, one block from WSU and just a few blocks from beautiful Lake Park with miles of bike trails meandering around beautiful East and West Lakes Winona. Even though there is ample parking, you will rarely need a vehicle: the downtown business district is only a short walk from your new home.
