 Henry Huff built the Huff Mansion in 1858. The Winona Normal School was also chartered this same year. This school became the present day, Winona State University

The house was used as a children's home and later an assisted living facility. The Huff Mansion is now owned by Bluff City Properties LLC and will continue to be a wonderful historic landmark in Winona.
